Description
A five-night introductory course in Epee fencing, suitable for all ages from 16 upwards.
About the Course
Epee is a very accessible weapon for adults because the principles and rules of the weapon are very straightforward, and very little specialist kit is needed.
You will need tracksuit trousers, a T-shirt and trainers – we will provide everything else you’ll need for the course.
Each session is 1.5 hours and incorporates a general warm-up. The course covers the basics of fencing footwork; the principles of fencing with the epee; blade work techniques; practice ’bouts’, and an introduction to fencing using electronic scoring equipment. The course is led by Kate Smith, former British Champion (Senior and Veteran) and GB and England fencer, and Level 3 Coach.
All equipment provided. Feel free to contact us if you have any queries. By buying this course, you agree to be bound by the club’s waiver.
