Club President and Founder of Kingston Fencing Club, Ian Keeble dies after long illness.

Ian Keeble, fencing instructor, club president and founder of Kingston Fencing Club, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Kingston Hospital on the afternoon of Saturday 4 June 2011, aged 73. He had fought a long battle with complications arising from a heart attack he had suffered approximately 16 months earlier.

Funeral Arrangements

Ian shall be cremated on Wednesday 15th June at 2:10 pm at Kingston Cemetery, Bonner Hill Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 3EZ.

After there shall be a celebration of Ian life and drinks at Ian's local watering spot the New Malden Tennis, Squash and Badminton Club, Somerset Close, New Malden, KT3 5RG. This will start at about 3:30 pm.

Ian's wife, Diana, has asked that everyone attending should phone Joe Shackell (020-8393-4255) or e-mail him via our contact form ( so that The Club can be informed of guest numbers. Although this is a very sad event, Diana has asked that it should be a happy one.
