News - Sat 04 Jun 2011 - Ian Keeble Dies

Ian Keeble, fencing instructor, club president and founder of Kingston Fencing Club, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Kingston Hospital on the afternoon of Saturday 4 June 2011, aged 73. He had fought a long battle with complications arising from a heart attack he had suffered approximately 16 months earlier.

Funeral Arrangements

Ian shall be cremated on Wednesday 15th June at 2:10 pm at Kingston Cemetery, Bonner Hill Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 3EZ.

After there shall be a celebration of Ian life and drinks at Ian's local watering spot the New Malden Tennis, Squash and Badminton Club, Somerset Close, New Malden, KT3 5RG. This will start at about 3:30 pm.

Ian's wife, Diana, has asked that everyone attending should phone Joe Shackell (020-8393-4255) or e-mail him via our contact form (www.kingstonfencing.co.uk/contact) so that The Club can be informed of guest numbers. Although this is a very sad event, Diana has asked that it should be a happy one.
