Fencing Course for Adult & Student Beginners

Kingston Fencing Club offers a fencing course for the follow types of beginner :

The adult fencing course is structured around the syllabus for the Grade 1 Achievement Award at Foil as defined by the British Fencing Association.

At the end of each fencing course, participants will be entitled to an additional 2 weeks of free fencing during which one-to-one lessons will be available.

Tuesday evenings from 8.00 pm to 9.15 pm (report at 7.45 pm)

Note : 1st lesson of each course starts at 7.45 pm, when fencing clothing and equipment fitting is demonstrated. Thereafter, the lesson start time is 8.00 pm.


£70.00 for adults
£50.00 for full-time registered students
This fee covers:

  • 6-week course (see dates above)
  • use of equipment (see below)

Cheques must be payable to "Kingston Fencing Club".


Foils, jackets, plastrons, gloves and masks will be provided; participants should wear stretchy trousers (e.g. track suit), a T-shirt and trainers. It is also advisable for participants to bring their own bottled drinking water.
